DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure that all operation of electrical rig components is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with the manufacturers' specifications
To carry out unscheduled repairs at the rig site and camp
To liaise with the Rig Manager, Driller and Mechanic to schedule major overhauls of rig equipment
To ensure the availability of adequate spare parts for electrical equipment through the inventory system, both for routine maintenance and to cover unscheduled maintenance or replacements
REQUIREMENTS:
HS diploma or GED
Journeyman card
Preferably 5+ years electrician experience in the drilling industry.
Entry level will be considered.
Should possess current 1st Aid, CPR, or be willing to go through the training once employed.
Ability to read, write and speak English to be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
Possess hazard awareness necessary to operate safely within the drilling environment.
Able to work in high places for extended periods of time.
Ability to climb tall flights of stairs, work out of a riding harness and lift 50 lbs.
MUST pass urinary drug screening.
