com or on social media on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube or LinkedIn Summary: The Electrician Assistant will work under the supervision and instruction of a Maintenance Electrician to learn, assist and perform the duties of a Maintenance Electrician as follows.
Key Responsibilities: · Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
· Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
· Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Maintenance Machine Repairer and Maintenance Tool Maker, to diagnose malfunction.
· Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
· Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
· Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
· Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
· Inspects electrical systems.
· Understands and follows safe working procedures.
Additional Responsibilities: · Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions · Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings Minimum Requirements Minimum Qualifications: · HS Diploma or GED · Ability to read and write basic English, proficient in basic arithmetic.
· 6 months experience in a maintenance or construction setting or equivalent mechanical background.
Preferred Training and Skills: · Proficient in MS Office products preferred.
· Knowledge of and ability to use standard industry hand and power tools.
