Aluminum Boat Welder / Fabricator position available at Emerson Boat Works in Kodiak, AK.
Seeking a year-round, full time aluminum welder with experience in TIG and MIG welding , a minimum of 4 years of strong, direct boat welding / fabricating experience (building and repair).
The individual should be self-motivated, reliable and hardworking with a great attitude and excellent communication skills.
Having the ability to operate various power tools, read and interpret blueprints and diagrams, maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards, work independently or as a team, accurately document material usage, time spent on tasks and a description of the work completed for accounting purposes are all required skills.
Requires daily physical labor including heavy lifting, pushing or pulling.
Most work will be completed inside of a shop with occasional outdoor labor.
Normal work hours are M – F, 9 am to 5 pm with occasional weekend or overtime hours.
