com or on social media on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube or LinkedIn Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor directs, and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of industrial plants, or other establishment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.
Key Responsibilities: Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, refrigeration, or air required for operations.
Follows preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operation.
Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
May assist in preparation of department budget and monitoring expenditure of funds in budget.
Additional Responsibilities: May maintain records and other relevant documents pertaining to equipment and supplies.
Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
Minimum Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 6 years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in the seafood industry.
2 years’ experience supervising others required.
Ability to use standard office computer programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) from four-year college or university in electrical or mechanical engineering; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
