JOB The Kodiak Trial Court of the Alaska Court System is looking for a highly dependable individual to become a Court Case Manager 1 (salary range 10).
This job classification will promote to salary range 11 after successful completion of three years of service with the court.

* CLICK HERE FOR A MESSAGE FROM ONE OF OUR RETIRED CHIEF JUSTICES! The PositionIn this position you will perform a wide variety of case management duties for civil, probate, small claims, and children's cases.
You can expect to accept filings, set up case files, receipt filing fees, review filings for completeness, issue summons, enter data into the case management system, and route files accordingly.
You will be responsible for issuing pretrial orders for dissolution and divorce cases and when appropriate, complete certificate of divorce/dissolution and distribute decrees and child support orders to all parties and CSSD.
Other duties will include processing domestic violence and sanity commitment cases, accepting wills and registrations of trust, and assisting the public with withdrawing wills.
This position will perform front counter duties that include responding to a variety of questions in person and by phone concerning court procedures, Alaska Statutes, and Rules of Court.
The Work EnvironmentThe Kodiak Courthouse is located on Mission Road.
The staff includes one Court Case Manager 1 and two Court Case Managers 2 under the supervision of the Clerk of Court.
In your role, you will become a part of the Kodiak Trial Court helping to fulfill the mission of the Alaska Court System.
The Work HoursFull-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.
5 hours per week.
The work hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.
m.
to 4:30 p.
m.
with a one-hour lunch break.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of office clerical experience AND the ability to keyboard at least 40 words per minute (net).
Substitution: Additional office clerical work experience will substitute for the high school diploma or GED certificate on a month-for-month basis.
Completion of 36 semester credit hours or 48 quarter credit hours of coursework from an accredited college will substitute for the year of required office clerical experience.
Completion of an appropriate vocational training course of study such as legal secretary, paralegal, or office skills will substitute for the required office clerical experience on a month-for-month basis.
