Position is full time with two months off.

Office space is available in Dillingham, King Salmon, and Unalaska.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Ability to patiently mentor students of all ages and backgrounds.
Strong interpersonal skills required: aptitude for comprehending another’s situation.
Ability to comprehend and apply university policies and procedures as they relate to students and able to refer students to other departments for assistance.
Advanced computer skills (ie: Word processing, Email, Relational databases, Canvas/Blackboard, etc) Effective presentation and active listening skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to document/track student data.
Ability to troubleshoot situations to determine the best course of action.
Preferred Experience & Education: Education or Experience in counseling, social services, psychology, or behavioral health.
Familiar with communities and culture in the Bristol Bay and Aleutian Pribilof regions.
Experience using Google suite or Microsoft Office suite, and virtual meeting programs.
Experience using UAonline.
Required Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Salary Information: This is a full-time, 10-month, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
